The government has elected to fight against the phenomenon of “paper babies”, also known as legal recognition of children of convenience.
On 28 October 2016 the Council of Ministers approved draft legislation aimed at combating the practice of fraudulent recognition of a child to obtain a residency permit through the law on family reunification.
